Introduction
To everyone supporting the WDSF Breaking World Championship 2025 in Kurume, we extend our deepest gratitude.
Breaking was born from a street culture where people communicate through music and movement, and where mutual respect is the foundation.
A battle is not only about winning or losing — it is a space for expression, recognition, and elevating each other.
As global attention grows after Paris 2024, it is more important than ever to protect the spirit that has carried this culture forward: Peace, Love, Unity, and Having Fun.
The Spirit of Breaking and the Power of Respect
In a breaking battle, B-Boys and B-Girls may clash with fierce intensity.
Yet when the round ends, they touch fists, shake hands, and honor each other’s skill, courage, and creativity.
This is the true battle spirit that breaking has upheld for generations.

•The cypher is sacred: a place where everyone can step in, show their style, and be respected.
•A battle is dialogue: communication beyond words — telling your story while listening to the other.
•Respect is the core: for skill, style, roots, individuality, and the person behind the movement.

Athletes from around the world bring different backgrounds and stories, yet they connect through the universal languages of music and dance, preserving and evolving this culture together.
Online Abuse and hatefull comments is an Attack on the Culture
In the cypher and on the battle floor, respect is natural.
But in digital spaces, that respect can easily be lost.

Online harassment harms not only individual athletes — it damages the culture that breaking has spent more than 50 years building.
It is healthy to express opinions about competition results or judging.
However, personal attacks based on appearance, background, identity, or style — as well as discriminatory language — can never be tolerated.
B-Boys and B-Girls stand on this stage only after countless hours of training, setbacks, injuries, and growth.
Losing a battle or missing a move does not diminish their worth.
Failure is part of breaking, and learning from it is a sign of true strength.
Hurtful words leave deep scars and can push athletes away from the culture they love.
It is not only an attack on a person — it is an attack on the entire community.
Our Commitment
To ensure that athletes can fully focus on their performance, the Organising Committee of the Breaking World Championship will strengthen and continue the following initiatives:

A Request to All Fans
and Supporters
Your support empowers the athletes.
But words can also become weapons.

We kindly ask for your cooperation in the following:
✅ Respect the expression and the effort
Celebrate not only results, but the courage, creativity, and commitment dancers bring to the floor.
✅ Distinguish critique from attack
Thoughtful opinions on performance are welcome.
Denying someone’s identity or humanity is harassment.
✅ Embrace diversity and spread positive energy
Breaking thrives on different styles, roots, and perspectives.
Support this diversity with words that uplift the community.

If you love breaking,
please embody respect — the core of our culture — in your words and actions.
Closing
Breaking teaches us the joy of expressing ourselves and connecting with others through music.
Let us protect the bonds and trust built in cyphers around the world — even in the digital space.
We hope this championship becomes a powerful expression of true battle spirit and respect, and a guiding light for the future of breaking culture.

"ONE STEP CAN MOVE THE WORLD"
very action we take can shape the future.
Let us Practice respect and protect the culture together.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
